Bott Supports ‘The Tinkering Space

At-Bristol, an educational charity and one of the UK's leading interactive science centres, is opening a brand new exhibition this summer - The Tinkering Space! Aimed to inspire the inventor in us all, The Tinkering Space is for creators, inventors, dreamers and anyone who's ever wanted to have a go at making something. The Tinkering Space enables visitors to turn their ideas into something they can touch, design and modify, and even rebuild elements of the space itself.

As a company which designs and builds products, Bott relies on skilled engineers to develop new products and run the production facilities in which its workshop and in-vehicle storage products are manufactured. Bott has always been active in promoting engineering to young people, most recently through their involvement in the Bloodhound SSC project and an active apprenticeship program. Therefore, the company was also pleased to support the Tinkering Space, through the provision of workshop cupboards and trolleys from the Cubio and Verso ranges.

Opened in July 2016, the permanent exhibition includes a ‘Baxter' robot (the first in a UK science centre) two 3D printers, an air table for testing flying devices, Shadow Theatres, make-your-own ball runs, and more. The space will be open all day, every day, and will include some guided activities with the Live Science and Education Teams, which will run for visitors and school groups.
