Every Christmas, staff at the Bott facility in Ashby de-la-Zouch, run a series of fund-raising activities to raise money for their chosen charity. In December 2014, they managed to raise a staggering total of £2,220 for Rainbows hospice for children and young people.
Rainbows, is a place where life-limited children and their families from the East Midlands, can find care and support. The money raised will go towards helping their incredible team to help relieve symptoms and improve the quality of lives for parents and siblings.
The fund-raising activities included:
- A ‘mystery’ Christmas staff raffle, with all prizes kindly donated free of charge from suppliers.
- ‘Wear what you like’ day on the last working day before Christmas.
- Name the Giant Teddy Bear’ raffle – with Rainbows kindly donating the Giant Teddy Bear.
Bott were delighted with the amount of money raised for such a worthy cause. The total topped money raised in 2013 of over £2045, which was donated to LEICSAR (Leicestershire Search & Rescue).
