As a Planning Coordinator, you will support the Planning Manager in processing and managing project and order information within the schedules. Following training you will also be the first point of contact for any planning queries and enquiries.
Your contributions will directly impact our supply chain's success and our ability to deliver high-quality products and services to our customers on time.
This role involves a combination of assisting with capacity planning and data analysis. Here is an overview of your key responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for planning related enquiries and amendments, delegating tasks to the Planning Administrator when appropriate
- Coordinate and disseminate scheduling and project information to internal stakeholders
- Extract data from each order to ensure alignment with customer requirements; addressing any concerns before order release
- Utilize gathered information to update and release projects whilst adhering to capacity limits
- Partner with internal stakeholders including procurement and inbound planning, to secure necessary resources in support of the production schedule
- Update to relevant systems and communicate changes to all stakeholders
- Identify and communicate potential supply chain disruptions to the Planning Manager and internal stakeholders
- Update reports to provide information on key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Update the order with amendments and convey changes in project processes to stakeholders
- Develop departmental knowledge to enable you to cover the Planning Manager during holidays, sickness, or busy periods. Being flexible and agile in assisting other departments when required is part of the current company practice
- Support in the training and development of the Planning Administrator
- Deliver exceptional customer service and satisfaction, prioritizing client needs and expectations
- Following training, provide technical support to the service team
The successful candidate must have the following;
- A passion for delivering great customer service in a cost-effective way
- Previous production planning or scheduling experience
- Good I.T. skills including Microsoft Office, and an MRP system, ideally SAP (not essential)
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good attention to detail and highly organised
- A flexible approach as this will involve close collaboration with all other internal departments
- Valid UK driving licence
The hours of work are 37 hours over 4.5 days (Monday - Friday)
