Warehouse Team Member

We now have an excellent opportunity for a Warehouse Team Member, to join our well-established team based at our Vehicle Enhancement Division in Ashby De La Zouch, Leicestershire.

As a Warehouse Team Member, you will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organising and retrieving stock.

We are looking for dynamic individuals who are comfortable and motivated to work alone yet are great team players.

Our Benefits

Key Responsibilities

  • Booking In internal & external deliveries using SAP and match the relevant paperwork
  • To check goods for damage or mislabelling against delivery notes (GRN)
  • Raise any non-conformance (NC) and notify selected parties where applicable
  • Loading and unloading of Internal and External deliveries using MHE equipment where necessary
  • Answering all calls including inbound & outbound doors
  • Checking customer paperwork vs delivery paperwork prior to despatch and highlighting or reporting any errors via the appropriate avenue
  • Making sure all deliveries are fit for transport, external customers vs our own Internal fleet
  • Pick supplier jobs vs external & internal orders
  • Loading and unloading of internal and external deliveries using MHE equipment where necessary
  • Customer order picking using SAP generated pick lists
  • Packing & making up kitting deliveries
  • Putting all stock away from standard picking material to kitting
  • Stock replenishment & rotation (i.e) FIFO or date checks
  • Cycle counting inventory / rolling stock checks
  • Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules and schedules
  • Treating all stock and merchandise with care and concern at all times
  • Maintaining a safe and tidy working area(s) within the warehouse through standard housekeeping practices and following 5’s standards
  • Assisting with the electrical charging of workplace MHE and other equipment
  • Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods
  • Ensure all Health & Safety Regulations are abided by

Personal Profile & Skills:

  • Previous experience of using SAP advantageous
  • Counterbalance or Reach Truck Operator Licence describable
  • Work effectively with cross functional teams in the organization
  • Organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills as you will be liaising with internal staff at all levels
  • Eager to learn and to understand business needs
  • ‘Hands-on‘ and results driven
  • Confident, resilient and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and proactive

Working Hours: 37 hours per week - 7.30am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am to 12.30pm Friday. Some flexibility may be required to work other shifts on occasion.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.70-£13.20 per hour

Additional pay:
