This is an exciting opportunity to join our Purchasing team and develop the specialist skills needed to support sourcing, supplier management and ethical procurement within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Purchasing Apprentice (Level 3) to join bott Ltd in Ashby-de-la-Zouch. You will gain hands‑on experience in procurement processes, supplier engagement, data analysis and commercial decision‑making, all while working towards a nationally recognised apprenticeship and CIPS Level 3 qualifications.

As a Purchasing Apprentice, you’ll play an important role in helping us secure the materials and services needed to support our production and conversion operations.

 

What You Will Learn

Your Level 3 apprenticeship will help you develop strong procurement foundations, including:

  • Supporting the raising of purchase orders and maintaining accurate purchasing records
  • Engaging with suppliers to obtain quotes, delivery dates and product information
  • Conducting research to support sourcing activities and identify value-for-money opportunities
  • Understanding responsible and sustainable procurement principles
  • Assisting with supplier due diligence checks
  • Analysing data including spend, usage, demand trends and supply performance
  • Supporting contract documentation, tender activities and procurement processes
  • Investigating and resolving purchase order or invoice queries
  • Building effective working relationships with internal teams and suppliers
  • Using procurement databases and digital systems confidently

 

You will work alongside experienced procurement professionals who will support your development throughout the programme.

 

What We’re Looking For

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Have GCSEs including Maths and English (minimum Grade 4/C)
  • Have an interest in purchasing, procurement or supply chain
  • Have strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
  • Are confident using IT systems or keen to develop digital skills
  • Communicate well and enjoy building relationships
  • Are curious, proactive and willing to learn
  • Can work well as part of a team in a busy office environment
  • Are able to commute to our Ashby-de-la-Zouch site

 

No previous procurement experience needed, just enthusiasm, commitment and a desire to grow.
