What You Will Learn
As an Engineering Operative Apprentice, you will gain a wide range of practical engineering skills, including:
- Using hand tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively
- Mechanical assembly and fitting
- Working to engineering drawings and specifications
- Problem‑solving in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding lean principles and efficient working practices
- Teamwork, communication, and workplace collaboration
You will be fully supported throughout your Level 2 apprenticeship and will work alongside experienced engineers who will help you develop your confidence and skillset.
What We’re Looking For
We would love to hear from you if you are:
- Practical, hands‑on, and keen to learn new skills
- Interested in engineering, manufacturing, or mechanical assembly
- A team player with a positive attitude
- Reliable, enthusiastic, and motivated to complete a Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship
- Able to commute to our Ashby de la Zouch site
No prior engineering experience is required, just a genuine interest and willingness to learn.
