Assembly Team Member - Afternoon Shift

We have an exciting opportunity for Assemblers to join our friendly team based in Ashby on a permanent contract. You will be working with innovative, like-minded people in a welcoming and supportive environment. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with a background in this area.

You would be working in a motivated team and will be responsible for assembling company manufactured storage solutions.

Key Responsibilities

· Assembling our modular units by reading and following technical drawings

· Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules, and schedules

· Always treating all stock and merchandise with care and concern

· Making sure all completed units are stored safely, ready for the fitting team

· Maintaining a safe and tidy working area(s) within the warehouse through standard housekeeping practices and following 5’s standards

· Ensure all Health & Safety Regulations are abided by

· Raise any non-conformance (NC) and notify selected parties where applicable

Personal Profile & Skills:

· Experience using hand and power tools

· Background in mechanical assembly / fitting

· Work effectively with cross functional teams in the organisation

· Organised with excellent attention to detail

· Eager to learn and to understand business needs

· ‘Hands-on‘ and results driven

· Confident, resilient and able to work in a fast-paced environment

· Self-motivated and proactive

General:

· Act in a reasonable & compliant manner

· Flexible & agile - current company practice is you may be expected to undertake work within other departments to assist with workloads or to provide holiday / sickness cover, as and when required

· Ensure that you maintain a high standard of personal presentation

Hours: 37 hours over 4 days

Monday - Thursday 4pm - 1:45am

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.90-£15.50 per hour

Additional pay:

  • Loyalty bonus

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Ashby-De-La-Zouch: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
