Can You Assemble a Supercar on a Show Stand?

Bott is supporting the Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) in their endeavour to assemble their high-performance Mono live on their stand during the International Festival of Business which takes place in Liverpool during June and July.

The single-seater Mono is a radical lightweight sports car born of a passion for bringing racing technology into a road legal package capable of delivering high performance through engineering excellence. The resulting single-seater road-legal sports car was launched in 2011 and utilises carbon fibre composite construction over a steel chassis. Powered by a 2.3-litre four-cylinder engine provided by Cosworth, producing 285 bhp, the car delivers stunning performance with a 0–62 mph (0–100 km/h) time of 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 170 mph (274 km/h).

The serious side to this challenge is to highlight UK engineering expertise at the International Festival of Business – the most significant international trade and investment showcase since the 1951 Festival of Britain, and the largest global gathering of business events during 2014.

Success in such a unique high-profile endeavour demands good organisation and a workshop setup that enables smooth and efficient progress. That’s why BAC contacted workshop storage experts Bott for their help and expertise in creating the ultimate live workshop environment.

Bott, as a company with a significant UK manufacturing and engineering base, shares BAC’s commitment and focus to promoting and developing UK engineering expertise as a key factor in creating a strong economy. Bott used their knowledge of the motorsport industry to design a solution which fitted BAC’s requirements perfectly. The final setup for the live build utilises a carefully tailored mixture of cupboards and cabinets on the stand, so BAC’s engineers can work rapidly, instinctively and uninterrupted, using their skills to maximum advantage.
