A prime example of its versatility is currently on show in the Testing gallery at the National Railway Museum in York. This exhibition (running until April 2019) explores innovation and engineering in the rail industry and invites people to step inside the laboratories and test stations where new ideas and technologies are put through their paces.
196 bott perfo and louvre panels were commissioned by the museum to construct a visually stunning and imaginative display area, reflecting the modern sheds, factories & workshops where today's big ideas come from. The multi-functional panels have been arranged to form apex roofs covering the exhibits, as well as vertical information boards.
Jamie Taylor from the National Railway Museum, said: “Our challenge for the design was to find a product that not only complimented the aesthetics of the museum, but provided a solution for harnessing information, such as; TV monitors, signage and large pictures. The bott perfo hook kits for the panels were perfect for displaying object showcases, giving us endless possibilities for re-positioning. The Testing exhibition is all about experimentation and engineering brilliance and the Bott panels integrate perfectly.”
