Openreach Showcase Van Project

Designed to exhibit the capabilities of the Openreach fleet, Bott were chosen to complete a unique project. Openreach runs the UK’s digital network business. Connecting homes, mobile phone masts, schools, shops, banks, hospitals, libraries, broadcasters, governments and businesses – large and small – to the world.

Designed to showcase the capabilities of the Openreach fleet at events, shows and schools, these Ford Transits display how their workforce installs fibre optic cabling, to connect a family living room to the rest of the world. Featuring designated zones, resembling both the inside of a modern home, including a television screen, sound bar and power sockets, and the outside world, complete with a telegraph pole, Openreach underground access box and fibre optic cabling.

Supportive, professional and expert team

Speaking of the project, Andy Scott, Corporate Responsibility Manager at Openreach praised:

I have worked closely with Bott during the design and conversion stages of our two showcase vans. It’s been a fairly complex project, however Bott’s supportive, professional and expert team have really made delivering a high-quality end product achievable.

The showcase vans will engage communities across the UK by bringing our network to life and showcasing the work our engineers are doing to implement a full fibre future.

It has been great working closely with the team at Bott. I am delighted with the overall end product.
