Expansion in Cumbernauld, Scotland

Bott Ltd expansion at Cumbernauld premises

We have recently won a number of additional new contracts in Scotland, including a major deal with Scottish Water, and the increased volume of work has led us to move from our original plant in Cumbernauld to larger premises in the same area.

At 24,000 square feet, the new premises are two and a half times the size of our original plant, enabling us to fit out an increased number of vehicles and to better meet the needs of our customers. The premises comprise of manufacturing facilities, a warehouse, offices, a new showroom and a meeting room facility with video conference capabilities. In excess of £100,000 has been invested in the move, in upgrading and refurbishing the building and IT systems, and we have taken on five new members of staff.

Kevin Woodward, Managing Director of bott's Vehicle Enhancement Division, said: "Our focus on continuous business growth – and the subsequent move to larger premises and the employment of new staff – confirms that we are committed to Scotland, where we have had a presence for 10 years.

"The new facility has increased our capabilities; for example, we now have 40 fitting bays, whereas we had just 15 at the original plant. This gives us far more scope, and will assist us in carrying out projects swiftly and efficiently, as well as helping to expand our Scottish business further."
