Emily lives in North Cornwall with her husband and two young children and has a condition called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome which affects her joints and other structures in her body. Emily aspires to represent Great Britain at the Rio 2016 Olympics and is currently training and competing on her Scottish Sports Horse Woody (Woody Allen MF) in both para and able bodied dressage.
Clive Woodward, CEO of Bott Limited said;
“When Emily approached Bott we were immediately impressed by her determination and focus to overcome very significant health challenges to achieve her dreams and compete at the highest level of para dressage competition. These values and Emily’s approach resonate with the ideals which drive the whole Bott Team and business.
We have a history of supporting aspiring local athletes such as Tom Daley and Izzy Hamilton. Therefore we we’re keen to support Emily in her aim to represent team GB at Rio 2016. To enable Emily to get Rio she has launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise £10,000 to cover some of her event and training costs, as part of a package of support we are pleased to contribute to this campaign.”
We’ll be sharing updates on Emily’s progress on our social media feeds, in the meantime please watch the short film of Emily which can be found by clicking here
